Our unique airside campus is based at Leeds Bradford Airport – one of the UK’s major airports. We have access to flying schools, technical instruction, expert careers advice and aviation knowledge. (Please note that we do not accept applications from international students.)

On Tuesday 4th March, a group of our students went on a day trip to Belfast from LBA, once they had arrived at the airport they had a VIP tour of the Airport grounds including Airside Operations, the Fire Station, inside the Baggage Area and the Arrivals Hall. The group then had a lovely self ...guided tour at the Titanic Museum followed by a lecture about survival in the sea which covered ditching of an aircraft before heading back home in the evening.

Last week our students enjoyed a day out @skypeopletraining . Immersed into the roles and responsibilities of Cabin Crew. From operation of doors, a seminar on safety procedures, fighting fire and learning how to survive a ditching before finally jumping down the aircraft slides. A great day of ...enrichment was had by all from the delivery of the lovely trainers at Skypeople.

Counter Terrorism Training, Remembrance celebrations, NHS Wellbeing Champion training for students, Employer breakfast with Coniston Hotel and The Skipton Hotel, , Routes to Success HE event, 30 applicants for LBA ...ambassador programme, preparation for Devonshire Fell hotel takeover, ABTA Travel Matters conference in London, HE dissertation posters event, Photography session to update the website, Cultural Fair, Festive Jumpers for charity, 5 days in Paris, 4 successful and busy open evenings, 3 schools careers events, lots of practical role play assessments and finishing with Staff Christmas lunch at Multiflight. 🎅Happy Holidays to all our supporters, students, and industry partners, here is to an exciting and busy 2025! 🤩

Well, what an exciting first half term it has been at The Aviation Academy and the Travel qualifications in Skipton. Here are just a few of the things we have got up to… An exciting induction including a treasure hunt and LBA ambassador information from @Connor Iveson, over 100 students visiting ...Manchester airport and sitting on the iconic Concorde and watching the A380, a trip to P&O ferries at Hull and their careers at sea event, East Riddlesden Hall tour and talk, airside visits at LBA, Prevent training from Oddarts, a student family BBQ with over £500 raised for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Graduation for our Fd & BSc graduates, HE team activity day at Yeadon Tarn, ABTA ambassador for HE allocated, Royal Aeronautical Society induction, Freshers Fair with many stalls, poppy making for Remembrance day, 2 busy open evenings with 80 students already applied for September 2025, and cake, never forget cake for our other fundraiser for MacMillan's cancer research
And after half term we have Counter Terrorism training, 4 nights in Paris, GCSE resits, ABTA travel matters, celebrating Diwali, Children in Need.
It is a wonder we have any time to fit any teaching in!

Before our students broke up for the Summer, the Wellbeing Champions hosted a Photo Competition in which the Students had the opportunity to take a photo of 'something we wouldn't know about you'. This was Judged by Chloe and her team from our NHS Mental Health Group.
