|
17 Students, all from The Aviation Academy based at Leeds Bradford International Airport, were part of 20 new cabin crew graduates awarded their ‘Wings’ for Jet2.com at a ceremony on the 3rd April at the Britannia Hotel, Bramhope.
This year in total, over 50 students who studied at The Aviation Academy have already been successful in obtaining employment in the aviation industry. Jet2.com Business Director, Richard Bodin said “ We have been pleased with the standard of students that have been recruited from The Aviation Academy. They have a broad understanding of the aviation industry and have rapidly built upon their formal training.”
Due to the increasing success of The Aviation Academy Courses, two new full time courses have been arranged at short notice to run from the 4th June to December (with a 3 week break in August) which will suit people who will be 18years or older upon completion of the 6 month courses.
The courses will be aimed at anyone wishing to pursue a career either as cabin crew or working on the ground at the Airport in a variety of roles. These courses are timed to coincide with the first intake of new staff with the airports and airlines for 2008.
