Diploma in Aviation Environment - Airport Operations Level 2
Aviation is a fast growing industry with new and expanded airports developing worldwide. Ground staff play a very important role in the delivery of the customer experience before they embark on their flight, from initial check-in to embarkation on the aircraft, in terms of customer service, safety, security and the comfort of passengers and crew.
This course is designed to prepare you for careers in aviation with key focus on airport ground operations. This course can be used as a stepping stone to our Level 3 programmes.
This is a full-time course which runs from September through to Easter to maximise employment opportunities.
A number of airport and airline companies recruit directly from this course and interviews are facilitated throughout to enable access to jobs on completion of your studies.

In addition you will develop work skills through a portfolio of additional qualifications, for example, Functional Skills, Communication and Public Speaking.
Entry Requirements
- Two GCSEs at grade A to C with English Language and Mathematics a minimum grade D or equivalent qualification, including a Level 2 Diploma to credit profile.
- You will undertake an interview where you can demonstrate a good level of personal presentation and communication skills
Career Progression
Learners who achieve a distinction profile at the end of year 1 may be transferred to a Level 3 programme
