Yes, there are a number of trips available for our students. You may have the opportunity to take part in an EU funded visit to Malta or Italy for work experience, and also the chance to travel to Majorca on a structured visit to study tour operations on the ground, hosted by Thompson, TUI and FirstChoice. For Higher Education students, there may be the opportunity to visit the Airbus A380 production facility in Toulouse, France, and also British Airways Head Office located at Heathrow Airport, hosted by the British Airways Graduate Training programme.
Trips should be budgeted for – a UK day visit may cost around £10, Malta £300 and Majorca £450 (all estimated pricings). Professional attire also needs to be bought: the TAA scarf or tie costs £15 per item and must be worn on campus with either a black dress, black suit, white shirt and formal shoes.
Our unique airside campus offers fantastic facilities and provides an excellent learning environment. The Aviation Academy has seven teaching rooms with interactive learning technology, a resource centre, 2 IT rooms, a tutorial room, and a student area for eating and relaxing. Check-in facilities and an aircraft cabin simulator enhance the learning experience for our students, too.
